A celebration of life for Irene Freeman Swann, 91 will be at 2 p.m. December 14, 2014 at Moss Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Tommy Graves, and Rev Johnny Freeman officiating, with burial in Cullman City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home.
Mrs. Swann passed away December 11, 2014 at Hanceville Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born April 15, 1923 to John and Audrey Freeman.
Mrs. Swann was preceded in death by her parents, John and Audrey Freeman; her husband, Verbon Swann; son, Lee Swann; brothers, Milford Freeman and Alvest Freeman; sisters, Beatrice Parker and Novalene Hancock.
She is survived by a daughter, Sue (Garry) Stricklin ; son, Larry Swann; Sister, Shirley Lay; brothers, Kenneth (Brenda) Freeman; and Johnny (Becky) Freeman; Daughter in law, Brenda Swann; grandchildren, Kristen Stricklin; Brandon (Shayna) Swann; Brandy (Pope) Rivers and Ashley (Chad) Adamson. Eight Great- Grandchildren,Sarah Kate, Anderson and Camille Swann, Phoebe and Hattie Rivers, Brenley, Emmie and Jack Adamson and several Nieces and Nephews and Many Friends.
She had a kind spirit and a gentle soul. She is now reunited with loved ones past and is with the Lord forever. Amen. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
