Captain, U.S. Air Force. 1LT Arteaga was killed as a result of a crash of a B-52 in the Indian Ocean while in support of Operation Desert Storm. 1LT Arteaga was able to make it out of the plane but was believed to have drowned after bailing. Arteaga was posthumously promoted to captain and was from Turnbull, Connecticut.
