Leon Sidney Smith, age 77 of Lake Placid and formally of Wauchula, passed away December 11, 2014 at his home. He was born June 5, 1937 in Counce, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents Monroe and Lorene (Borden) Smith.
Leon is survived by his beloved wife Betty Smith of Lake Placid; one son Kenny Smith and his wife Tonya of Lakeland; one daughter Kathy Hicks and her husband Bennie of Lakeland; one brother Marvin J Smith of Georgia; three sisters Katherine Hallmark, Elizabeth Morris and Betty Jo Proctor all of Alabama; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
