Lillian Pontiface, age 88, passed away on August 9, 2013. She was a daughter of the late Anthony and Angelina (Cicerone) Aiello.
Lillian was a teacher at Grove Avenue Elementary School before retiring.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Pontifice, and is survived by two daughters, Janice Calise, who was also her care giver, and her husband, Joseph, of Barrington, Judith Higgins and her husband, Dennis, of Smithfield; two sons, Anthony Pontifice and his partner, Kathy Blackmare, of Riverside, and Joseph A. Pontiface, of Cranston, six grandchildren, Joseph Myers, Jr., Jillian Myers, Brian Doyle, Chelsie Higgins, Keri-Ann Lawson and Stefanie Head; seven great-grandchildren; her sister, Olga Sauchelli, and her brother, Angelo Aiello. She was the grandmother of the late Christopher Higgins, great-grandmother of the late Donte Perron and sister of the late Edward Aiello, Anna Bernier, Emma Unaitas and Loyola Fox.
