NEW YORK RM3 US NAVY WORLD WAR II

Frank Kordziel, a lifelong resident of the Mineville-Witherbee area, died suddenly Thursday evening, September 8th, at the Moses-Ludington Hospital in Ticonderoga, at the age of 42.

Mr. Kordziel was an employee of the Republic Steel Corporation in Mineville, N.Y.

He was Grand Knight of Port Henry Council Knights of Columbus, a member of the Mineville V. F. W. post, Mineville-Witherbee Fire Department, Fourth degree Assembly Knights of Columbus and a member of the Mineville Board of Education until the area was merged into one central district.

He was also a local Boy Scout official.

Interment was in the Mineville cemetery.

Pall bearers were three members of the Fourth Degree of of Columbus and members of the Mineville Fire Department, with full military honors being given by the Mineville Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, as Mr. Kordziel served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
