He was born September 11, 1936 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Henry Charles Blanco Sr. and Clara Lee Lavender Blanco.
H.C was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School Class of 1956 in Port Arthur. He was a baptized at the age of 13 and was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1964. He completed his basic training at Fort Chaffee Arkansas where he qualified for and graduated in sharp shooting. He then was stationed at Fort Jackson in South Carolina where he graduated in MOS Field communications and was given an Honorable Discharge. He was very active in several of the Golden Triangles Clubs and Service Organizations and he continued to be very active after being transferred to the Dallas/Fort Worth Metro-Plex with KRUM insurance Company.
H.C. is survived by his son Charles Blake Blanco; daughter, Tammye Ruth Blanco Knowles and husband, Mark; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; brother, James Harold Blanco; sisters, Golden Evelyn Blanco Richard, Barbara Ann Blanco Christopher and Joan Marie Blanco Colichia; and several nieces and nephews.
