I never had the chance to meet Lisa. I met her sister, Michelle, just a few days before Lisa died. Through Michelle, I felt a great loss for the little girl who is now an Angel.

She was born Lisa Ana Yanez, in Matagorda County, Texas to Ernie and Anita Luna Yanez. Grandparents Lupe Hernandez Yanez Sr. and Eloisa Gonzalez Losoya Yanez.

A couple in Texas, whom I have since met online and over the phone, were the foster parents to these two children. The foster mother had put in a request for a picture of Lisa's marker, but had the wrong cemetery. The request came to both my mother and myself. We recognized that it was indeed Lisa. We went to the correct cemetery and took pictures for her and place them on Lisa's page to fulfill the request.

The foster parents in Texas wanted to adopt the girls, but didn't feel like they could at the time. Now, of course, they wish that they had.

What would be the chances that a foster mother in Texas would make a request for a picture of a child's grave marker in Georgia, have the wrong cemetery and it be received by someone who knew these children - a true co-incidence, to say the least. I sent her a note telling her that I would like to talk with her. She was thrilled to say the least. She, of course, knew that Lisa had died, and wanted the picture of the marker. But she was thrilled to know how Michelle was doing and thought she never would. Since I had a number of pictures of Michelle over a few year period, and she had pictures when they lived with her, we exchanged pictures as well as information about the two girls.

Loved and Missed!

Sister of Michelle!

Thank you to all who leave flowers and notes - they are most appreciated. One day Michelle will get to see them all. She does have memories of Lisa - now she will have a lot more to hold onto.

A special Thanks goes out for Rhonda for loving doing what Rhonda does best, Sponsoring the pages of Angels.
