William Albert Erdman, 67, of Webster Groves, Missouri died at his home surrounded by family (both human and canine) on Sunday, December 14, 2014.

Bill had been courageously fighting Multiple System Atrophy, a form of Parkinson's Disease, since 2008.

Bill's legal career included work for the State of Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, Mallinckrodt and St. Joe Minerals. He retired as General Counsel for the Auto Club of Missouri (AAA) after 20+ years of service there. Bill will be deeply missed by his colleagues, friends and family.

At the time of his death Bill and Jan were expecting their first grandchildren, twins born in February of 2015.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jan (Marcus) Erdman, their two children, Nathaniel (Beth) Erdman of Chicago and Maggie Erdman of Webster Groves; three brothers, Rick (Merline), Jim (Susie) and Steve (Gina) Erdman; and his father, Verne Erdman and his uncles; Myron (Neta) Erdman and Ronald (Dorothy) Erdman.

Bill was the fun and loving uncle to and survived by 11 precious nieces and nephews; Amanda Erdman, Corinne (Jarod) Nye, David Erdman, Michael (Danielle) Erdman, Katie Erdman, Sam, Grace, Charlie, Anna, Claire and Jack Erdman and 3 great nephews, Connor, Spencer and Bramley Nye.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother Mildred Louise (Smith) Erdman, his aunt Elizabeth Irene (Smith) Grady, his cousin Margaret Elizabeth (Grady) Juran; his uncle Dale Eugene Erdman and his grandparents; Albert Judson Smith and Verna Vivian (Bramley) Smith; William Christian Erdman and Henrietta Louise (Schwager) Erdman.

Visitation will be held at The Bopp Chapel, Kirkwood, Missouri on Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 2:00-6:00 PM.

A Celebration of Life Service will be on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Eliot Unitarian Chapel, also in Kirkwood.

Bill's body was gifted to the National Body Donor Program.
