James Thomas Caid was born to William J. Caid and Maniza (possibly Hitchcock). His father died in 1862, most likely in the Civil War. Maniza remarried to Ignatious Treat and had many children with him.

James Thomas Caid married Annie Elizabeth Freeman (Memorial #140172111) on 16 January 1886 in Alturas County (now Blaine County), Idaho. He was killed in a huge mine explosion in Duncan, AZ. No remains were found to be buried, so I am adding this memorial to maintain family linkages on this site. He was my great-grandfather.
