Son of Andrew J. and Malinda Hawthorne Lovell, he married Susan Marilla Perrine, was a widower, a self-employed sheet metal worker, lived at 1211 Eagle St, Franklin, died in the Franklin Hospital of a cerebral hemorrhage following a fractured skull caused by a fall off a building on 15th St. where he was working, per death certificate 86088, whose informant was Clara Lovell Butler, 142 W 6th, East Liverpool, OH. Buried Sep 20 1927.

Franklin, Sept. 18 -- Funeral services in memory of Samuel A. Lovell, aged 73 years, well known Franklin tinsmith and hardware dealer who died in the Franklin city hospital Saturday afternoon at 1:30 0'clock from injuries sustained earlier in the day, will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at his residence on Eagle st. by Rev. S. S. Clark, pastor of the First Baptist church. Interment will follow in the Franklin cemetery.
