In April 22, 1972, Arlene was united in marriage at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mt. Horeb. Among the many joys of their life together were berry picking, nut gathering, genealogy research, and most of all time spent with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Throughout Arlene’s life she held a variety of occupations, among which were supporting the war effort by working at Badger Ordinance during WWII and owning her own gift shop, the Treasure Chest.
Arlene loved to can and enjoyed teaching her daughters and granddaughters the skill. She enjoyed all things craft related and will be well remembered for many good recipes, especially her mashed potatoes and goulash. Arlene loved a good practical joke and even in her last days could partner for a winning hand of euchre.
