Robert Carl Davis, 79, of Mishawaka, died at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, December 17, 2014 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Robert was born on May 27, 1935, the son of the late Carl D. and Ruth L. (Foster) Davis. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Davis and a sister, Mary Vlasik. He is survived by two brothers, John Davis of Nashville, IN and Ray (Vivian) Davis of Vera Beach, FL and three sisters, Annette Howard of Houston, TX, Shirley (John) McAlpine of Phoenix, AZ and Theresa Wade of Mesquite, NV. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1962. He was a member of the American Legion Post 161 and VFW Post 1167. He also volunteered his time at St. Vincent de Paul Society and St. Michael Ukrainian Church. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, December 22, 2014 in St. Michael Ukrainian Church, 712 E. Lawrence St., Mishawaka. Rev. Leonard Korchinski will officiate. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola with military honors. Chapel Hill Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The family prefers memorials to the church.
