Departed U.S. for France Jan. 24, 1918 on the Troopship "Tuscania." On Feb. 5, 1918, a German Submarine sunk the Tuscania off the coast of Scotland. Private William Widman was a survivor. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army on March 21, 1919.
