Andrew J. Phillips, a life long citizen of Harris County died at his home near Chipley Sunday morning, his funeral being held Monday and conducted by his Pastor, Rev. J.R. Allen. Bro. Allen paid a high tribute to Mr. Phillips' life saying he was truly a true Christian gentleman.

As a neighbor he was kind and accommodated and thoughtful. In his family he was ever mindful of their comfort and pleasure. A man who looked after his own business strictly, he was always busy and interested in the carrying out of well laid plans. A devoted member of the M.E. Church he attended the services until failing health prevented.

Mr. Phillips was twice married; his first wife was Miss Fannie Emery and to this union six children were born, all living except the eldest daughter, Mrs. Reuben Whitehead who passed away several years ago.
