Daughter of Reuben and Mary Duffee Haslet (should be Duffy Hazlett), she was widowed, lived in Sugarcreek Township near Franklin, died there of a cerebral hemorrhage, per death certificate 93156, whose informant was George W. Hodgson of Franklin. Buried Oct 15 1912.

Mrs. Katherine Messick, 84, died of apoplexy at 8 am Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George W. Hodgson, at Galloway.


She leaves 5 sons and 4 daughters. Mrs. Mary Barrett, a daughter, and Joseph Messick, a son, live in Franklin. The others, with the exception of Mrs. Hodgson, lived in the west.


Services will be at the Hodgson home at 3 pm Tuesday. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
