His last election bid for State Treasurer ended in defeat in 1966, losing to Republican Virginia Blue (1910-1970). Mr. Bedford ran for governor in 1942 as a Democrat, losing to John Vivian. Resided at 2901 S. Ogden in Englewood, Colorado.
