Services Held For Art Farrar
Arthur A. Farrar, pioneer insurance man well known to Mojave old timers, passed away at home, in Tehachapi on April 19th.
Born Jan. 27, 1895 in Daley, Wash., he first came to California in 1918 and four years later made his home in Tehachapi.
He operated his insurance business in Tehachapi with a brancb in Mojave for 25 years before retiring.
Surviving are wife Maude of Tehachapi, son Woodrow of Escondido, brother Lester of Susanville and four sisters: Grace Wherring of Modesto, Evelyn Thompson and Pearl Farrar both of Sepulveda and Edith Romines of Lake Havasu., Two grandchildren are also listed as survivors..
Services were held in Stickel Mortuary Chapel, Tehachapi, with Rev. Lewis L. Wakeland, Community Congregational Church officiating. Interment was in Tehachapi Cemetery.
