Aaron D. Scudder, 83, of Roxbury died last week Wednesday at the Delaware county infirmary after a long illness.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Miller funeral home in Roxbury. Rev. John N. Wimer Jr., pastor of the Roxbury Methodist church, officiated. Burial is in the Halcott cemetery.

Mr. Scudder is survived by his wife, Mrs. May Palmatier Scudder, a daughter, Miss Julia May Scudder of Roxbury, and a brother, Dewey Scudder (#12197645) of Livingston Manor.

Born Oct 27, 1883, in the town of Andes, Mr. Scudder was the son of John and Ell Miller Scudder. He married May E. Palmatier Oct 5, 1916 in Andes.

Mr. Scudder spent much of his life as a farm worker in the Roxbury area. He had owned a farm in Andes for many years.

From out of town present at the funeral were Mrs. Edit Cammer and daughter, Allis, and Mrs. Harriet Hills and daughter, Audrey, all of East Hampton. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Cammer and two children of Albany and Mr. and Mrs. Volney Keator and William Smith of Walton.
