John A. Nuhs, 76, of Rt. 4, Manitowoc, died Thursday evening at
Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where he had been a patient
the past week.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Pfeffer
Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at the St. Paul Catholic
Church, Manitowoc, the Rev. Clement Kern officiating. Burial
will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Born Sept. 3, 1880, in Manitowoc Rapids, he was the son of the late
Mr. and Mrs. John Nuhs. On April 27, 1904, he married the former
Elizabeth Simmer. She preceded him in death in April of 1955. Mr.
(unreadable sentences) years at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc. He
was a member of Boilermakers Local No 443.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Schuler of Milwaukee
and Mrs. Warren Bernard of Manitowoc; three sons, Lester and
William of Manitowoc and John Jr., of Manitowoc Rapids; and eight
grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited
at 7 o'clock this Friday evening.
