Mary A. Nys, 65, formerly of 914 S. 12th St., Manitowoc, died Sunday morning,
December 28, at Morningside Nursing Home, Sheboygan.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at
St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Theodore J. Hendricks will
officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Nys, nee Mary Leiker, was born March 25, 1915, at Munjor, Kans., daughter
of the late John M. and Apollonia Klaus Leiker. She was married to Harold Nys
May 29, 1948, at St. Boniface Catholic Church. He preceded her in death January,
1974. She had been employed with Mirro Corporation until her retirement in 1976.
She was a member of St. Boniface St. Ann Society and Daughters of Isabella.
Survivors include three brothers, Ben and Heribert Leiker of Manitowoc and Brother
Leo Leiker of Kansas; a sister, Edith Handl of Manitowoc and nieces and nephews.
Three brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home 4 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Monday
afternoon. A prayer service will be 7 o'clock by members of the family, relatives
and friends and a prayer service at 7:30 o'clock by members of Daughters of
Isabella.
