Funeral services for Miss Nellie O’Connor who died at the Holy Family Hospital on Monday afternoon of pneumonia, will be held on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. from the Shimek and Schwar Funeral Home and at 9 o’clock at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Rev. Louis Schorn officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The body is lying in state at the funeral home and the rosary will be recited there on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Miss O’Connor was 83 years old. She lived at 1014 St. Clair St. Born in Manitowoc on January 24, 1858, she attended the St. Boniface parochial school and the public high school and she was a teacher for many years. She taught for nearly 40 years in Milwaukee and at the old Third Ward School here for a number of years.
She was a member of the Altar Society of the Sacred Heart church. The only immediate survivor is a brother, Ben O’Connor of this city.
