Marie A. O’Leske, age 91, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, died Thursday morning, April 6, 2000, at the home.
Due to the renovation of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2000, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Roman Zbieranski, O.F.M. with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Marie was born August 15, 1908, at Cresent (sic), Pa., daughter of the late John and Anna Dyda Pietroski. On August 24, 1929, she married William F. O’Leske, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death December 13, 1976. Mr. and Mrs. O’Leske were involved in various local tavern businesses all of their lives until retiring after the sale of the Club Bil Mar. Marie was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, LeRoy O’Leske, Norman and Lois O’Leske, all of Manitowoc; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Paul and Adeline Pitroski, Brookside, Wis., John and Dorothy Pitroski, Manitowoc, Leo Pitroski, Manitowoc; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Sophie and Marvin Ziarnik, Manitowoc, Adeline Piorkowski, Milwaukee. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Cynthia Hull and her husband, David, Appleton, Debra Piaczek and her husband, Lawrence, Aurora, Colo., Michael O’Leske, Tucson, Ariz., Sandy Schwartz and her husband, Michael, Manitowoc, Barbara Swigum, Manitowoc, Kristine Thomley and her husband, David, Montello, Wis.; seven great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter, Julius and Stanley Pitroski; a sister, Bernice O’Leske; a sister-in-law, Shirley Pitroski and a brother-in-law, Edward Piorkowski.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Boniface Catholic Church from 9 a.m. on Monday until the time of service at 10 a.m. A service will be held by the Daughters of Isabella at 9:50 a.m. Monday morning.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
