Mrs. Frances R. Osesek, 78 who presently resided at Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc, formerly of 2315 Marshall Street, Manitowoc, died early Friday morning, June 13, 1986, at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 9:30 am Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Harold Berryman with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Osesek, nee Frances R. Kortas, was born February 29, 1908 in Newton, daughter of the late John and Katherine Tomchek Kortas. She married Alois A. Osesek on November 11, 1925 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. After their marriage, the couple settled in Manitowoc. Mr. Osesek preceded her in death July 19, 1975. Mrs. Osesek was a member of St. Mary's Rosary and Altar Society.
Survivors include a son and a daughter-in-law, Richard and Bernardine Osesek of Manitowoc; two grandchildren, Karen Koeppe and Kenneth Osesek; two great grandchildren, Lisa and Jacob Koeppe and two sisters-in-law, Pauline Kortas of Manitowoc and Virginia Kortas of Milwaukee. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Pete, Paul, Frank, Gordon and Florian Kortas and two sisters, Mary Hodzinski and Anna Koprowski.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 3 pm to 9 pm Sunday afternoon. A Rosary will be recited at 3:30 pm Sunday afternoon by St. Mary's Rosary and Altar Society and a prayer service will be held at 7:30 pm Sunday evening.
