Today I had a conversation with John Earl Byers (born 1923) of Knox Pennsylvania who stated that his mother Mary Ann Collett was engaged to Joseph Emory Coulter and had even gone to the court house and received a license but never married. She then married John Boston Byers.

Clarence Emery Coulter was the biological issue of Joseph Emery Coulter but John Boston Byers adopted Clarence and his legal name was changed to Byers.

This info is provided for those seeking DNA confirmation.
