Mr. Connell was taken ill about a year ago and consumption developed rapidly. He went to California, hoping that the climate would strengthen him, but it was of no avail. He returned home and for the past three months had been confined to his room. The end was not unexpected. A house was being specially built for him at Lackawack, on the Paupack river, where it was thought the air would be beneficial.
Deceased was the fifth son of Mr. Connell, was one of the best known of the younger members of the family and was popular with all who knew him. Though a graduate of the Pennsylvania university and having taken a course in the medical department, he never took up active practice of his profession.
Deceased was 31 years old and resided with his father. The funeral will take place Wednesday afternoon.
