Allen M. Peterman, age 66, of 1908 Marshall St., Manitowoc, died on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
He was born on Dec. 11, 1941, in Manitowoc, son of the late Frank and Anna (Nemetz) Peterman. On April 29, 1961, he married the former Carol Dushek at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Al was a foreman at Mirro Company, Manitowoc. He retired in 2003, after 43 years of employment at all the plants. He enjoyed Texas Hold-em with his friends, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Al was proud of his 1960 Thunderbird, and enjoyed collecting 45 records and juke boxes.
Survivors include his wife: Carol Peterman, of 47 years, Manitowoc; three sons and daughters-in-law: Robert and Oneida Peterman, Dallas, Texas, John Peterman, Houston, Texas, and Dean and Kelli Peterman, Manitowoc; five grandchildren: Allen Robert Peterman; John Allen Peterman; and Anna, Drew and Kian Peterman; one sister and brother-in-law: Delores and Victor Burger, Denmark; two sisters-in-law: Marilyn Peterman and Dorothy Peterman, both of Manitowoc; a brother-in-law: Ronald Dushek and his wife, Joann, Tennessee; and special friends: Jack and Bonnie Kretsch; and Paul Elliot, all of Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Lester, Frances and Ernest.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Gerald Foley, with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, from 4 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008. A prayer service will be held at 8:30 p.m., led by Deacon Alan Boeldt.
Friends may also call on Thursday morning at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
