COLOMA -- Paul F. Mooney, 75, of Coloma passed away peacefully on Jan. 28, 2004, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at Davidson Chapel, Florin Funeral Service, Coloma. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to South Haven Hospice or the Salvation Army, c/o Davidson Chapel, Coloma.
Mr. Mooney was born Sept. 5, 1928, in Benton Harbor, to Paul Leslie and Elsie (Treichel) Mooney. Paul graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1946. Paul worked for Indiana & Michigan Electric Co. for 39 years as an electrical line setter trouble shooter, retiring in 1988. He was one of those dedicated employees that were out in all kinds of weather repairing down power lines. Paul married Pam Flowers Mott on Aug. 9, 1975, in Eau Claire. He loved baseball, especially the Detroit Tigers. Paul was a pitcher for the House of David baseball team. He liked to bowl and was not afraid of speaking his mind, but also had a soft and tender spot for people in general. Paul was a loving and caring husband who will be dearly missed.
Mr. Mooney is survived by his wife, Pam; three children -- Gregg (Ginny) Mooney of Milton, Fla., Linda Guglielmi of Grand Rapids and Michael Mooney of Hartford; three stepchildren -- Glenda (Mark) Long of Watervliet, C. "Van" Mott, also of Watervliet, and Aaron Mott of Benton Harbor; one sister, Marilyn (Ray) Watts of Benton Harbor; seven grandchildren -- Cara, Richard, Russell, Derek, Bryan, Russell Paul, and Amanda; and two great-grandchildren.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents.
