Funeral services were held April 8, 2002, at Old North Church in Los Angeles, CA, with burial in Forest Lawn Memorial Park of Hollywood Hills. Forest Lawn Memorial Park & Mortuaries of Los Angeles, CA, handled arrangements.

Zerelda was born June 5, 1955 in Jackson, MS, to the parentage of James and Carolyn Neal. At the age of two the family moved to Los Angeles, CA, where she spent her entire life.

She is survived by her spouse, Tyrone Henderson; three children, Damien, Tyrone Jr. and Jasmine; two grandchildren, Damien Jr. and Christine; one brother, Ronald Neal; three sisters, Carol Lusidia Morrow, Patricia Langley, and Yolanda Coleman; a step-sister and step-brothers; brothers-in-laws; sister-in-law; nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
