Thomas Clough Beall - March 12, 1953 - December 24, 2014

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2014, at 2:00 PM. in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary on Cherry
Street. Burial will be private. The Reverend Joe McDaniel will officiate.

Born and raised in Macon, graduated from Central High School. Tom graduated from University of Georgia, GA. He is pre-deceased by parents Joel Chambliss Beall and Mary Parks Beall. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Stepanie Cabero Beall, children Shannon (Bert) Rosenberger of Gray, Bryan Beall of Milledgeville. Siblings Jim (Susan) Beall of Bowman, GA, and Susan (Charlie) Ouzts of Monroe County Forseyth, GA. His grandchildren he called his "little buddies", Barrett and Brantley Rosenberger. A Sister-in-law, Andrea (Alfred) Carr of Hawkinsville, Father-in-law, Andrew Cabero, Jr., and a host of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved dogs, Apollo and Brutus.

Tom was retired from the Atlanta Journal and Constitution. In a career that spanned from 1975 to 1984 he played professional softball where he earned five All-American selections playing for Reeds Nuts from Pinehurst, Ga; Howard and Carroll from Sherrill's Ford, NC. and Howard's-Western Steer fromm Denver, N.C. With Howard's he smashed 995 homers, drove in 2,065 runs and had a six year batting average of .662. In 1980 led the ASA National Men's Major Slow Pitch Tournament in homers with 17. In April of 2003 he was inducted into the Macon Sports Hall of Fame for outstading contributions in Softball. In lieu of flowers , please donate to the American Heart society.
