Death Of Mrs. Boone.
Passed Away at 11 O'clock Last Night, at Her Home.
Mrs. Nannie H. Boone, of 402 North Summit street, who was the widow of Daniel Boone, and who has been lying at death's door for the past two weeks, died at the family residence at 11 o'clock last night. Her three children, Miss Frances of this city, Mrs. W.W. Judy of Kentucky, and N.F. Boone of Fort Worth, Texas, were at her bedside when the end came. The deceased was 75 years of age and she had resided in Arkansas City for the past fifteen years. Her husband died 30 years ago. She was a devoted christian woman and was a member of the Central Christian church of this city. Her loss will be felt very keenly, by the church going people of this city. The children have the heartfelt sympathy of a multitude of friends, in the loss of their dear mother.
Funeral services for Mrs. Boone will be held next Monday morning at 10 o'clock at the residence. Rev. G.W. McQuiddy preaching the sermon. The body will be taken to Wichita on the Santa Fe noon train that day for interment there. A brother of the deceased, J.D. Houston, who resides in Wichita, arrived in the city this morning to attend the funeral services.
