In 1930 her family lived on W. Grant Street, Plainwell and her father worked in the paper mill.
Sometime after 1943 she married Cletus Joseph Watts. He had served as a private in WWII and listed his occupation as a semiskilled lumberman, raftsman and woodchopper.
Helen and Cletus had six children - Cletus Joseph, Jr, twins Terry Ryan and Larry Brian, Ruth F., Beverly J., and Sandra K.
Helen worked for Grant Memorial Hospital in the laundry department and Edenberg Manufacturing Sewing Factory in Petersburg for several years. Later she operated Helen's Fabric Shop in Petersburg. She was a memeber of Faith Assembly of God and VFW Post 6454 Ladies Auxiliary both in Petersburg.
She was 84 when she passed away.
