Pioneer aviator in Los Angeles who partnered with Sydney Chaplin (1/2 brother of Charlie Chaplin)at the Chaplin Aerodrome in 1920. Friend of fellow pilot Cecil B. De Mille, who founded the Mercury Aviation Company (aka Mercury Air Lines ) in 1919.

Rogers took over the airfield when Chaplin lost interest in aviation and operated it until his death, crashing an airplane during one of Los Angeles' many airshows. His wife Eleanor continued to operate the field for many years after his death, combining it with Mercury when De Mille lost interest in aviation.

Through his relationship with De Mille and Chaplain, it is believed he flew more Hollywood stars to various places than any other aviator.
