Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held.
Helen was born on May 6, 1926, east of Strasburg, ND, the daughter of George and Martha (Hagel) Bosch. She attended country school and married a classmate, Eugene Stoppler, on August 1, 1951, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. They lived in Linton, ND, and raised four children. Helen worked at the Linton Hospital as a laundry supervisor for ten years.
Helen will be remembered for her love of her family and friends. She cherished her grandchildren, spending time with them and making their favorite meals. She was an avid card player and thoroughly enjoyed getting together for weekly card parties with friends.
Helen is survived by three sons and one daughter, Wayne Stoppler of Bismarck, Ella (Dale) Wake of Kindersley, Saskatchewan, Canada, Richard (Deb) Stoppler of Bismarck and Danny (Brenda) Stoppler of Bismarck; nine grandchildren, Beth, Sara, Alissa, Becky, Lynelle, Alicia, Lauren, Brittney, and Ashley; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; her parents, George and Martha; one daughter-in-law, Joan; three brothers; and two sisters.
