Mrs. Denise B. Ashworth, age 55, of Liberty Church Rd., Blairsville, GA, passed away January 7, 2014 at Union General hospital following a brief illness. She was born February 27, 1958 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL to the late Harold Marshall and Julia (Nakagawa) Blaire. Denise moved to this area in 1981 from Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. She was Owner/Partner of Six Oaks Restaurant for over 13 years. She was employed with Louise McTaggert Realty over 14 years. Denise was a member of the Board of Realtors also a member of GAR and NAR, and a member of Habitat for Humanity. She also served on many local committees and was a long time Chair of the Board MLS Committee. She always helped others and was a loyal friend. Denise was of the Christian Faith.
Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m., Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel.In lieu of flowers make memorial contributions to United Community Bank to helf (sic) defray expenses. The Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 until 5 p.m. prior to the service.
