Opal F. Spencer 80, of Fulton, passed away on Friday December 26 2014 at Fulton Nursing and Rehab. She was born on January 16, 1934 the daughter of the late Cecil Fletcher and the late Golden (Larimore) Fletcher. On February 28, 1952, Opal was united in marriage to Elmer Spencer JR. He preceded her in death in 2004.
Opal is survived by two sons, Jack Spencer and Donald Spencer, both of Spring Texas. two daughters, Janet Diemler and Sandra Hunt, both of Fulton, sister Iola Wilson of Holts Summit. grandchildren, Rachel Spencer Sarah Spencer, Savanna Spencer, Amanda Hunt, Katie Hunt, Seth, Ryan, and Kyle Spencer and Cade Hillier; great grandchild, Brynleigh Spencer and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by brothers, Harry Fletcher Charlie Fletcher, John Fletcher Billy Joe Fletcher, Bobby Joe Fletcher, Earl and Bruce Fletcher and sisters, Elva McIntire and Esther Longcrier.
Memorial services will be held at 2p.m. on Wednesday December 31, 2014 at Maupin Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens at a later date.
