Funeral services for Bert. P. Vogel, 67, of Cleveland, who died Tuesday at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Stoltenberg Funeral Chapel, Cleveland. The Rev. Herbert Stetler will officiate and burial will be in Saxon Cemetery.
Mr. Vogel was born in the Town of Centerville Aug. 21, 1901, the son of the late Herman and Bertha Kolb Vogel. He was graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1920, earned a bachelor of science degree from Stevens Point State, and his masters degree in philosophy from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
He taught in graded schools in Meeme, Manitowoc Rapids and Mishicot, was principal of the Adams-Friendship, Mauston and Waunewoc high schools, was president of the Kenosha Teachers College at Union Grove from 1953 until 1964, and in recent years was field representative for the Spencerian College, Milwaukee. He was a member of the Wisconsin Teachers Assn. He married Elizabeth Spafford at Plainfield, Wis., Dec. 1, 1929, and she died in 1964.
Survivors include three brothers, Laveral, Walter and Howard of Cleveland; two nieces and five nephews. A sister, Mrs. Teckla Schurrer, preceded him in death.
