Daughter of Gaspard "Jasper" David and Marie Jeanne Villiow

Mary was the oldest of four. The family emigrated from France in 1852, but sadly her mother died in 1854.

Mary married Desire Alexander on 16 January 1865 in Linn. The family soon moved to Kansas where her father joined them during the 1870s

Deaths.

Alexander - Friday Dec. 28, 1905, at the home of her son-in-law Frank Wilson, north of Severy, Mrs. Mary Delphine Alexander, aged 63 years, 3 months and 13 days.

The funeral was held at the Methodist church last Friday, Rev. Everett conducting the funeral services, and the Ladies of the G.A.R. Circle, of which the deceased was a member, holding their ritualistic services at the cemetery.

The deceased was born in 1842 in a small town near Paris, France, and came to America when ten years old. She was married to Dissere Alexander in Osage county, Missouri. Mr. and Mrs. Alexander came to Kansas in 1875 and settled on the farm which she afterward lived the greater part of the time until her death. Mr. Alexander died in 1878.

Mrs. Alexander is survived by a brother, who lives in Missouri and by two daughters, Mrs. Jerry Brown, of Wichita, and Mrs. Frank Wilson, of Severy, besides a wide circle of friends who will miss her.

Mrs. Alexander was reared a Roman Catholic, but some years ago renounced that belief and about a year ago she joined the Congregational church of Severy.
