Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer, Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois, Monday, March 1, 1937, page 1:
  Henry Mindrup, 89, a resident of Edwardsville for the past fifty years, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W.C. Blixen, at 9:15 p.m. Saturday of infirmities of old age.
  The funeral will be conducted Tuesday at the Marks-Weber Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m., with services following at the Eden Evangelical Church at 2 o'clock with Rev. H.J. Bredehoeft, the pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. The body will be at the funeral home prior to the services.
  Mr. Mindrup was born Feb. 2, 1848 in Pleasant Ridge, Ill., and then came to Edwardsville to reside in 1887. He retired in 1922 after being associated with his son, L.A. Mindrup in the sheet metal business. For a number of years he was active in the Evangelical church serving as president of the Eden Evangelical congregation and as member of the Church Council.
  His marriage to Miss Sophia Schaefer, who died Feb. 4, 1917, took place Jan. 11, 1877 in St. Charles, Mo.  Surviving are the following children: F.E. Mindrup, St. Charles, Mo., L.A. Mindrup, Dallas, Tex., W.H. Mindrup, C.F. Mindrup and Mrs. Alvin Blixen of Edwardsville. He also leaves nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Mr. Mindrup had made his home with his children in the latter part of his life.

Six grandsons served as pallbearers: Edward Mindrup, D.H. Mindrup, William Blixen, Wesley Mindrup, James Mindrup and Earl Zimmerman.
