BOTTORFF: Charles Newton Bottorff born 26 May 1850, Camp Point, Adams Co., Illinois; son of Lewis Wesley and Sarah Ann Bottorff; moved to Jasper Co., Illinois in the fall of 1860.

Married 4 July 1869 to Maria Teresa Faubion; together they had 7 children; 3 died in infancy. Was a minister for 50 years, starting in Illinois; moved to Wellington, Kansas in 1881; later settled 7 miles NE of Solomon. Died 6 January 1923; buried in Prairie Mound Cemetery; survived by wife; 4 children, Oscar W. of Fresno California; Myrta Lawless of Medford, Oklahoma; Rolla of Solomon; Bessie Webster of Salina; 1 sister. Mary McMormick of Newton, Illinois.
