Mass for Ernest J. Sauber, former U. S. district director of the Internal Revenue Service, will be said at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 164 N. Oakwood St., West Chicago. Mr. Sauber, 65, of West Chicago, died Tuesday in Geneva Community Hospital, Geneva. He headed the IRS Northern Illinois District from 1952 until December, 1955. From 1957 until he retired in 1971, he was controller of Di-Mucci Brothers, a contracting firm in Mount Prospect. Surviving are his widow, Viola; two sons, John and David; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Edwards and Mrs. Marsha Johns; 10 grandchildren; a brother; and a sister.
