Thomas J. 'Jenks' Cunningham, 84, of Paris passed away Sunday, March 6, 2005, in Bonham.

Graveside services are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, in Providence Cemetery with Patrick Cannon officiating, with full military rites under the direction of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. There will be no formal visitations but friends and family may call at the funeral home Monday afternoon and evening to sign the register and view.

He was born Oct. 8, 1920, in Rugby, a son of John Henry and Maggie Jenkins Cunningham.

He was a retired master sergeant in the U.S. Army and worked for 13 years with the civil service. He was a member of a Masonic Lodge in Pennsylvania, was a member of the Scottish Rite, York Rite, and was a Shriner.

He married Sumie K. Kuwashima on June 25, 1958. She preceded him in death on June 14, 2004.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Alma, Eunice Hodges and Lucille Morris; and by a brother, Leroy Cunningham.

Survivors include a sister, Margaret Molina of Granbury; brother-in-law, Fred Hodges of Paris; and several nieces and nephews.
