Thomas Allen Cardinal, 52, Oconto, passed away Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, after a strong fight for 23 years due to injuries sustained in a vehicle accident May 5, 1990.
Thomas was born May 2, 1961, in Milwaukee to the late Joseph and Audrey (Jackson) Cardinal.
He married Cindy Smith on Nov. 28, 1981.
Thomas moved to Oconto at the age of 18 and started his career in road construction.
Years later Tom and his wife, Cindy wanted to start a family and he began work for the City of Oconto to fulfill this dream.
He was a fun, loving family oriented man, who enjoyed everything outdoors, family gatherings, the Packers, and was always caring, giving, and lending a helping hand.

Tom is survived by his wife, Cindy Cardinal, Oconto;
daughter, Katie (Corey) Cardinal, Oconto;
two sons, Chad (Casey) Cardinal, Oconto; Joseph Cardinal, Oconto;
sister, Lori (Milton) Kilbey, Milwaukee;
brothers, Michael (Kevin) Cardinal, Minnesota; Patrick (Laurie) Cardinal, Milwaukee; Daniel (Melissa) Cardinal, Oconto;
and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 2013.
Memorial services will be conducted 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Deacon Walter Kaszynski officiating.
