Mrs. Viola M. Pfeffer, 95, a Manitowoc resident, who resided at Shady Lane Nursing Home, Manitowoc, died Thursday evening, March 27, at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 9:30 am Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 am at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Gerald Prusakowski O.F.M. with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Pfeffer, nee Viola Mary Schreihart, was born September 20, 1890 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late John P. and Christine Proell Schreihart. She was a 1909 graduate of Manitowoc Teaching Training School. Mrs. Pfeffer was a teacher of 1st Grade at Jefferson School in Manitowoc from 1909 to 1921. She married Joseph T. Pfeffer Sr. on August 8, 1921, at ST. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death June 5, 1952. Mrs. Pfeffer was an honorary member of St. Anne’s Christian Mothers Altar Society of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Catholic Womens Club, 3rd Order of St. Frances, Eagles Auxiliary, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and the Senior Citizens of Manitowoc.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, William and Larey Pfeffer and Joseph and Pauline Pfeffer, all of Manitowoc; a daughter and a son-in-law, Betty and Gerald Teteak of Manitowoc; 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survived. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5 pm to 8 pm Sunday afternoon. A prayer service will be held at 7 pm by St. Ann Christian Mothers Altar Society, Catholic Womens Club, 3rd Order of St. Francis, relatives and friends.

Miss Viola Schreihart and Mr. Jospeh Pfeffer were married Monday morning at St. Boniface Church, Rev. W.J. Peil officiating. The attendants were Miss Clara Schreihart and Thos Dirkman. After the ceremony the bridal party repaired to the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Schreihart. The bride has been a teacher in the city schools the past few years and is an estimable young lady. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Pfeffer, South Tenth Street and conducts a barber shop on Washington Street. Mr. and Mrs. Pfeffer left in the afternoon on a wedding trip to the Dells.
