John (Hans) Ploedertl, 79, of 1910 Columbus St., Manitowoc, died
Friday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral
Home and 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev.
Joseph Mattern will officiate with burial in Calvary Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mr. Ploederl was born Sept. 6, 1896, at Menominee, Mich, son of the
late Joseph and Theresa Kapitz Ploederl. He married Agnes Springstube
in June of 1917 at Manitowoc. He was employed at Rahr Malting Co. of
Manitowoc until 1945 and then at Seitz's Recreation Center until his
retirement. He was a 25 year member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie
706 of Manitowoc and Manitowoc Sea Gull Club.
Survivors include his wife, a son, George, and a daughter, Mrs. William
(Mary Jane) Lalko, of Manitowoc; two brothers, Ed, of Brull and George,
of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Rueben Bergner, of Manitowoc, five
grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A son, Jack, a daughter,
Violet, three brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday, where
a prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m.
