FAIRFIELD – Pauline Fix Miller, 94, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, in NMS Health Care, Hagerstown, Maryland. She was born Jan. 15, 1920, in Rockbridge County. She was a daughter of the late James Henry Fix and Carrie Belle Fix.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis LeCampion Miller Jr.; two siblings, James H. Fix Jr. and Isabelle F. Scott.
Surviving are two sons, Albert Wayne Miller and wife, Debra, of Greencastle, Pennsylvania and James E. Miller of Fort Defiance; three grandchildren, Andrew R. Miller and wife, Melissa Miller, David A. Miller and wife, Dr. Jennifer Gutwald Miller and Jennifer M. Smith and husband, Chris Smith; two great-grandchildren, Aiden Miller and Laiken Smith and one sister, Beulah F. Chittum of Fairfield.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, in Timber Ridge Old Stone Church with the Rev. Steve Cathcart officiating. Burial will follow in Timber Ridge ARP Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation 1490 Pantops Mt. Place, Charlottesville, VA 22901.
