Oliver Cromwell Smith, 61, widower of Mrs. Blanche Mae Smith, died in a Norfolk hospital Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Every V. Thigpen of Fentress and Miss Clara L. Harrison of Norfolk, two sons, Wallace S. Harrison of Norfolk and James A. Waterfield of Warwick, R.I.; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Waterman and Mrs. Bertha Van Nostrand of Norfolk and Mrs. Odell Basnight of Back Bay; a brother, Clifton A. Smith of London Bridge; and six grandchildren.
Mr. Smith, a native of Princess Anne County, lived in this area all of his life, lately at 3214 Chalfin Ave.
A funeral service will be conducted in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Friday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
