Orlando L D'Angelo of Rye, New York passed away after a short illness on December 31, 2014 with his family by his side. He was 89 years old.

He was born on July 4, 1925 in the Bronx, New York and was a Rye resident for 67yrs. He is a graduate of Morris Park High School in the Bronx. He served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp during World War II. He was honorably discharged on July 12th, 1946 and began his life long career as a self employed Building Contractor in partnership with his brother Louis D'Angelo, prior to retiring in 1987.

He was the loving husband for over 60 years of Ellen "Sis" D'Angelo and the father of two daughters, Carol and Ginny.

He was President of the Rye Kiwanis Club from 1982-1983. He taught Religious instruction classes at Resurrection Elementary School in the 60's, a volunteer of the William H Ball Memorial Field Day Events, and an active member of the American Legion Rye Post 128.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen C D'Angelo of Rye, NY, 2 daughters, Carol D'Angelo of White Plains, NY, Ginny Johnson, her husband Joel, and granddaughter Tracy of Charlotte, NC. He was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Laura D'Angelo, brother Frank D'Angelo and sister Tina Marino.

The family will receive visitors at Graham Funeral Home on Monday January 5th from 4 to 8 pm. A service celebrating Mr. D'Angelo's life will be held on Tuesday January 6th at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Resurrection in Rye.
