Manitowoc, died Sunday morning at Park Lawn Nursing Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 9 a.m.
at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. John S.
Landowski will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Pokorski was born May 2, 1887, in Poland, son of the late Matthew
and Mary Sepneski Pokorski. As a child he came with his parents to
Manitowoc. He married Clara Zagrodnik Nov. 20, 1911, at St. Mary
Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He was employed as an electrician at
Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc., and retired in 1954. His wife preceded him
in death April 30, 1962. He was a member of Electrical Workers Local
751 of Manitowoc and a member of the Holy Name Society.
He is survived by a son, Clement J. of Rt. 1, Manitowoc; a daughter, Mrs.
Lawrence J. Fuka Jr., of Manitowoc; a brother, Anton, of Manitowoc;
three sisters, Mrs. Anton Poklinkowski, Mrs. Martha Bonk and Mrs.
James Burish, of Manitowoc and 10 grandchildren. Three brothers and
a sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at
7:30 o’clock this Monday evening by the Holy Name Society and
members of the parish.
