TEXAS CITY - Mr. A. G. “Ben” Arnold, Jr. passed from this life Monday afternoon, November 26, 2012, at his home in Texas City.
Born May 27, 1928 in Denison, Texas, Mr. Arnold had been a longtime resident of Galveston County. He had worked for Monsanto for 27 years before retiring as a Construction Supervisor in 1983. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Texas City, had been a Mason for over 50 years, and a member of The Scottish Rite, The York Rite, and the Shriners. He was the Past Master of Texas City Lodge #1118 of Texas City, and Lone Star Lodge #403 of Denison, and was the past DDGM of District 4B Grand Lodge of Texas and DDGM of Grand Council for the 52nd District of Texas.
Survivors include his loving wife of over 63 years, Beverly Arnold; sons, Brad C. Arnold and wife, Cindy of Dickinson, Bret A. Arnold and wife, Karen of Texas City; grandchildren, Kimberly Arnold and Kenneth Arnold.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2012, at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery, with Pastor Robert Miller officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501.
