Mr. Barclay was born July 8, 1927, in Leclede, Kan., and moved to Parkdale at age 15. He served in the merchant marine during World War II and in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Afterward, he was a lumber carrier driver and saw filer in Cascade Locks until retiring in 1978. In 1985, he moved to Portland and married Elisabeth Lester.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Michael of Wilcox, Ariz., and Kenneth Miller of The Dalles; daughters, Georgia Medler of The Dalles, Janice Keckler of Springfield, Mo., Kathy Smith of Colony, Kan., and Theresa Kemp of Portland; stepson, Michael Isenberg of Seattle; stepdaughters, Valerie Traum and Kimi Sue Isenberg, both of Portland, and Jacqueline Wasson of The Dalles; brother, Thomas of Portland; 14 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Disposition is by cremation. The family suggests remembrances to Providence St. Vincent Hospice. Arrangements are by Autumn & Cremations.
